South Carolina's 2026 football schedule is a challenging one, with a mix of familiar and unfamiliar opponents. While the Gamecocks aren't on 247Sports' list of most difficult schedules in the country, that doesn't mean the 12-game slate isn't incredibly challenging. With the start of preseason practice inching closer by the day, it's time to take a look at South Carolina's schedule and rank the games from easiest to most difficult. Personally, I think the schedule is a tough one, but with the right preparation and strategy, the Gamecocks can make it work. Here's my ranking of the games, with a focus on the key factors that will determine the outcome.

This is by far the most winnable game the back half of the season for the Gamecocks. The Razorbacks were 2-10 last season and went 0-6 in one-score games, which included two playoff teams and then No. 12 Tennessee. With a new head coach and a quarterback battle, the Razorbacks are a team in transition. In my opinion, this game is a good opportunity for the Gamecocks to make a statement and secure a win. However, it won't be easy, and the Razorbacks will be looking to make a statement of their own.
Mississippi State Bulldogs - Sept. 19, 4:15 p.m. (Williams-Brice Stadium)
The Mississippi State Bulldogs are a solid team, with a competent offense and a returning defensive coordinator. The Gamecocks have won eight of the last nine in the series, and with the advantage of playing at home, I think South Carolina will come out on top. However, the Bulldogs will be looking to make a statement, and this game will be a tough test for the Gamecocks. In my opinion, this game is a good opportunity for the Gamecocks to show their mettle and secure a win.
Tennessee Volunteers - Oct. 24, Afternoon Window (Williams-Brice Stadium)
